Material use

For the production of the textile products , 100% recycled microfibre was chosen. Made from used PET bottles . Products that had the waste processing as their final destination are given a new life as high-quality textiles.

The production process

During the process, plastic bottles are shredded, converted into small plastic granules and then melted and processed into extremely fine (micro) yarns . These yarns are then woven into Lafii products.

The Environmental Benefits of Microfiber

The environmental benefits of recycled microfiber include a decrease in the demand for new plastic, which in turn reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Another major advantage is that microfiber textiles are durable, dimensionally stable and colorfast , which makes them last extra long. Microfiber textiles last about ten times longer than natural textile products. The major advantage of natural fibers is that no natural areas are required for the production of the fibers, and no pesticides need to be used during the production of the fibers.

The honest story of environmental disadvantages

However, there are also disadvantages to using microfiber. For example, washing synthetic fabrics releases microplastics. Together with certified suppliers who meet the Global Recycled Standards (GRS), we are working on creating sustainable products and will always look for more environmentally friendly options.

Microfiber has wonderful benefits, but like all products, the environmental impact is not equal to 0. Due to the long lifespan of microfiber textile products, I would like to advise you to make a well-considered choice when purchasing. Choose products that you want to use for a long time. This way we have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful products and at the same time reduce our impact on the planet .
